The project aims to identify the key factors influencing the perception of urban safety in selected neighborhoods of Alicante by analyzing elements such as lighting quality, graffiti, population density, and other relevant indicators. Through the use of artificial intelligence and video analysis tools, it seeks to create an objective, data-driven diagnostic that maps urban conditions affecting perceived safety.

Based on the findings, the project will propose practical and sustainable interventions to support local authorities in improving residents’ sense of security. It also promotes citizen participation through accessible channels for feedback and collaboration, and includes the development of an interactive web platform to visualize results and inform decision-making. Finally, it aspires to establish a replicable model that can be adapted to other cities facing similar challenges.
